Description
Please join the National Park Service for a virtual program in celebration of National Poetry Month and the upcoming sesquicentennial celebration of Paul Laurence Dunbar’s birth in 2022. Poets Furaha Henry-Jones and Sierra Leone will read several selections of Dunbar's poetry, share their interpretations of his work, and answer questions from the audience. The group will examine areas of Dunbar’s poetry to include themes, personal views, and how the poems relate to today's world. This event is free and open to the public and it is presented as one in a series within our Paul Laurence Dunbar 150 celebration.
